In improved pasture, on an ENE-facing slope. Possible hollow-way associated with medieval settlement (TS061-095----) visible on aerial photographs (CUCAP AIE 6 22 August 1963; CUCAP APD 31 July 1966, the later reproduced by Mitchell 1986, 175, plate 39). Slight visible surface trace of a gentle, linear depression (max. Wth c. 4m; D c. 0.05m) which extends downslope (L c. 150m; long-axis ENE-WSW). Nettles highlight this depression intermittently. Depicted on 1840 edition OS 6-inch map as a field boundary at same location and alignment.
