Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Ballycomisk is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Ballycomisk, County Tipperary, Ireland. The circular monument measures 30 metres north to south and 29.2 metres east to west. A main bank 3.2 to 7.7 metres wide encloses it, rising 0.32 metres above the interior and 1.17 metres above the exterior. A waterlogged ditch 4.5 metres wide and 0.5 to 0.87 metres deep lies outside that bank, with a separate outer bank surviving only from southeast through south to southwest.
On gentle SE facing slope in undulating pasture. Ringfort (TS069-005002-) located c. 20m to SE and enclosure (TS069-012----) is clearly visible on top of hillock c. 400 m to ESE. Circular area (diam. 30m N-S; 29.2m E-W) enclosed by a bank (Wth 3.2-7.7m; int. H 0.32m; et. H 1.17m), water-logged fosse (Wth 4.5; D 0.5-0.87m) and outer bank (Wth 1.6m; ext. H 0.73m) only visible from SE-S-SW. Interior is relatively cleara of vegetation, some small trees around the perimeter and nettles in SE quadrant. Bank is disturbed in NW quadrant. A field boundary running N-S truncates the W edge of the ringfort, the rest of the monument is enclosed by a post and pail fence. Entrance in E quadrant according to OPW files (1979), not apparent at time of inspection.
