What is recorded here

Fairy forts in Ballinvoher are earthen rings, not magical castles. The main chamber measures twenty-six metres across, surrounded by a bank rising one and a half metres above the pasture. A second ring sits nearby to the north-east, separated only by a narrow strip of earth. Both remain subject to preservation under national monument law.

In pasture, on gentle E-facing slope. Circular area (26m N-S) enclosed by heavily overgrown earthen bank (int. H 0.8m; ext. H 1.3m); external fosse (D 0.5m) S->E. Interior level and heavily overgrown with briars. Second ringfort (CO026-06501-) immediately to NNE; two fosses separated by bank of earth.
