What is recorded here

No visible surface trace survives at Ballinphuill, but a solid ringfort stands two hundred metres to the southeast. The lost oval enclosure likely served as a secondary dwelling or boundary marker for the same local community. Forgetting the smaller site risks misreading the purpose and hierarchy of the surviving fort.

On a NW-facing slope in grassland. Marked on OS 6-inch maps as an oval enclosure (NE-SW c. 30m, NW-SE c. 20m). No visible surface trace survives. A ringfort (GA030-003----) lies c. 200m to SE.
