Fairy forts in Cork are often called forts because people feared or avoided them, not because they understood every room. That warning still stands. The circle in Ballineadig keeps its shape in pasture, with a bank high enough to touch and a ditch deep enough to remember. Whether it housed families, stored grain or marked boundary, the earth still holds the answer.

In pasture. Circular area (diam. 50m) defined by earthen bank (H 1.5m) with external fosse (D 1m). Short section of outer bank survives to SE.
