Fairy fort in Ballinbrittig: a roughly circular earth and stone bank, 36m by 31m, stands on the north-facing crest of a ridge in County Cork. The bank rises 2.45m, with a shallow external fosse and an internal terrace, while gaps mark the NE, S and NNW. The interior is slightly raised on the north side to compensate for the slope, suggesting people shaped the ground rather than merely accepting it. In pasture today, it remains a made place: a ring of effort set against the sky.

In pasture, on N-facing crest of ridge. Roughly circular area (36m N-S; 31m E-W) enclosed by earth and stone bank (H 2.45m), with external fosse (D 0.15m) NW->NNE. Low terrace (Wth 2.5m) at foot of bank internally E->WNW. Gaps in bank to NE, S and NNW. Interior raised slightly on N side to compensate for hillslope.
