Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in An Chluain Chlaíoch is a subcircular earthen chamber twenty-nine metres wide, guarded by a two-metre bank and a broad fosse that still cuts through rough pasture. The western gap marks the entrance, while a square depression in the north-west corner hints at a hidden passage beneath the wet ground. The eastern side has surrendered to bog and time, leaving the chamber open to rain and memory.

Internal diam. 29m. A subcircular space enclosed by an earthen bank up to 2m high, a fosse from 1.5m to 3m wide and a destroyed outer bank for the most part incorporated in a modern field boundary. The three enclosing features are all missing on the E side. A gap 1.5m to the W was probably the original entrance. A 2m square depression on the interior to the NW might indicate a Man-made underground passage. The rest of the interior is level but wet. There is bog to the E and rough pasture elsewhere.
