Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Aghrane OR Castlekelly stands in woodland within the former Aghrane or Castlekelly Demesne. It is a poorly preserved subcircular rath, measuring 47.7 metres north to south, defined by a bank and external fosse. The earthwork is best preserved from SE through W to N, while a gap at W appears modern. This is the kind of place where humans may have lived, hidden or played long before records, leaving behind a shape the land still holds.
