What is recorded here

A narrow strip of earth and a shallow ditch still mark the ghost of a fort on the Aghlisk rise, though the northern wall has vanished entirely. The surviving southern curve measures fifty-three metres, large enough for houses, herds and argument, yet the grassland has swallowed most of the shape. People may have lived inside that missing circle, raised children or lost weapons before the land took them back. What remains is a suggestion rather than a wall, inviting imagination to complete what time erased.

On a rise in low-lying grassland. Very poorly preserved subcircular rath (N-S c. 53m, E-W c. 47.4m) defined by a degraded scarp and external fosse.
