Fairy fort in Aghakeeran, County Longford: a 31.5 m earthen ring on an east-facing pasture slope, its bank still 0.75 to 0.95 m high and 3 to 3.8 m wide. The entrance has disappeared into grass and memory, but the circle remains clear enough to walk around and imagine inside. It may have been a home, a boundary marker, a meeting place or a child's forbidden fort; the land has kept the shape while taking the story.

On an E-facing slope in pasture. A raised circular area (diam. 31.5m) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 3-3.8m; H 0.75-0.95m) from SE–S–N and elsewhere defined by a scarp (H 0.7-1.4m). A report in 1975 (SMR file) recorded a wide, shallow, external fosse, which is not visible at ground level. The original entrance is not recognisable. Compiled by: Patrick F.
