Columbkilles Stone — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

On Inchmore Island in Lough Gowna and associated with the monastery, 'Teampull Choluim Cille' (see LF006-032002-), founded by St Colmcille (Gwynn and Hadcock 1988, 179). This large flagstone is broken into two pieces. There are apparently natural indentations on its upper face that are believed to be impressions of St Colmcille's knees, and the fingers and thumb of one hand. Linked to St. Colmcille (Columba), the stone is associated with the early Christian monastery on Inchmore Island. According to tradition, St. Colmcille founded the monastery in the 6th century, and the stone may have been used for ritual or ceremonial purposes within the monastic site.
