Fairy fort in Adrivale, County Cork: a 38m earthen ring on an east-facing pasture slope, its bank rising nearly two metres and wearing stone in places. A five-metre trackway still cuts across the middle, past a smaller oval ridge beside it, while conifers crowd the interior and an underground passage may hide in the western half. People called it a fairy fort because the shape seemed to belong less to farmland than to whatever refuses to be forgotten.

In pasture, on E-facing slope. Slightly raised circular area (38m WSW-ENE) defined by earthen bank (max. H 1.8m), stone-faced in parts. Trackway (Wth 5m) crosses interior on WSW-ENE axis. Roughly oval, slightly raised area (10m WSW-ENE; 3m NNW-SSE; H 0.5m) adjoins S side of trackway. Interior planted with coniferous trees; possible Man-made underground passage (CO048-003002-) in W half. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
