Located towards the bottom of the SE-facing slope of Lacken Hill. Centre-line testing (E4067) in advance of the N25 New Ross bypass identified and fully excavated an oval pit (dims 1.1m NNW-SSE; 0.55m ENE-WSW; D 0.16m) with a black, charcoal-rich fill at its base. The fulacht fia (WX029-041----) is c. 70m to the SW. (Doyle et al. 2010, 48)
