Situated in a low-lying landscape. Archaeological excavation (04E0225) as part of the N25 Waterford by-pass produced a circular pit (diam. 1.2m; D 0.3m) filled with heat-shattered stones and charcoal. There was a trench (L c. 6m; Wth 0.65m; D 0.3m) filled with sandy clay just to the W. (Hegarty 2007; Hegarty et al. 2011)
