What is recorded here

Indicated as a circular enclosure on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map, with a farm roadway running ENE-WSW through the centre of the monument. On the 1948 revision of this map, the road has become a field boundary and only the enclosure N of the boundary is indicated. Satellite imagery shows that the monument has since been levelled, though on the OS Ortho satellite image 2005-2012 the outline of the enclosure (diam. c. 36m) is visible N of the field boundary. A townland boundary runs NNE-SSW near the outer edge of the W quadrant of the enclosure. See attached: KK027-033----_01 satellite image from OS Ortho satellite imagery 2005-2012 Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 29 March 2023
A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath); wider significance not recorded.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
