Parknabinnia holds a grassed enclosure fifty metres wide on a low Clare ridge, surrounded by wedge and court tombs that still mark the ground. The wall abuts older mounds at the north and east, suggesting people shaped the same slope across generations rather than building one isolated feature. Animals graze above buried chambers today, while the hazel scrub hides the line of the wall from casual feet.

On the SW-facing slope of a low NE-SW ridge in rough pasture and some hazel scrub. A subcircular enclosure (c. 50m N-S; c. 40m E-W) defined by a partially grassed over wall is visible on Digital Globe (2011-2013) and on OSi MapGenie (2013-2018). Mound walls abut the perimeter at N and NE. Within a large field system (CL017-180----) and in an area with a concentration of megalithic tombs. Two wedge tombs (CL017-008001- and CL017-008002-) lie c. 130m to the NE, and another (CL017-009----) is c. 140m to the ESE. An unclassified megalithic tomb lies c. 195m to the SE and a court tomb (CL017-180007-) lies c. 250m to the SW. Compiled by: Mary Tunney Date of upload: 10 May 2023
