Enclosure in Newmarket was a fort recorded on D.B. Murphy's land in Pairc a Leasa, the Fort field. Small houses and gardens now occupy the exact site, erasing the earthworks but continuing to inhabit the same ground. The fort disappeared beneath domestic life, yet the field name still points to the shape that once stood there.

Bowman (1934, 171) recorded fort on D.B. Murphy's land, 'in field called Pairc a Leasa (Fort field). There is now no sign of a fort. Several small houses have been built in it, and these with their gardens, may occupy the site of the fort'. Exact location not known.
