What is recorded here
Located with a large arable field adjacent to the coast, cropmarks indicate the presence of subsurface remains of a parallel triple ditched enclosure, encompassing the townland boundary between Lane and Holmpatrick. The enclosure visible on Google maps imagery (June 2018) comprises a circular inner enclosure (diam. c. 21m) defined by a sub-surface ditch (wth. c. 1.5m ); a middle enclosure (diam. c. 28m) which appears to encompass the townland boundary to the north; and the southern arc of an outer enclosure ditch (diam. c. 40m).
