What is recorded here

Laharan Mountain casts its shadow across a forgotten oval enclosure, now buried beneath pasture and time. The 1842 survey captured its rough shape before development erased the marker, leaving behind a ghost of human presence. A possible ringfort waits nearby, suggesting this was once a lived-in landscape rather than empty land. The mountain keeps what the valley has lost.

In pasture, at base of N-facing slope of Laharan Mountain. Depicted as hachured roughly oval enclosure (c. 70m N-S; c. 60m E-W) on 1842 OS 6-inch map. Levelled; no visible surface trace. Possible ringfort (13111) lies c. 150m to W in adjoining field. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
