What is recorded here

Visible on Google Earth aerial photogrpahy as an overgrown oval area defined by at least two enclosing elements. A pair of earthen banks enclose a pond. An intervening ditch, between the banks, is quite silted up, but was probably water-logged originally. The site is engulfed with tall bull rushes and is quite difficult to appraise on the ground. It appears to be a relatively modern feature, not earlier than the 18th century; possibly a landscape feature associated with duck shooting. Date of upload: 30 October 2012
A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath); wider significance not recorded.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
