Enclosure in Knocknabro

In rough heather-clad hill pasture, on a S-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Clydagh River. An irregular-shaped area (8.1m N-S; 6.2m E-W) defined by a roughly constructed drystone wall (T 0.6m at base; H 1m), which narrows (T 0.3m) at the top. There is an entrance (Wth 1.3m) at N which is flanked on its W side by a short wall extending to the N. Rubble is strewn along the perimeter and downslope to the S. The enclosure is in use as sheep pen. A relict field wall (KE076-00908-) extends W of this enclosure. Another enclosure (KE076-009001-) lies c. 140m to the SSE and two hut sites (KE076-009003-, KE076-009007-) are c. 15m to the E and c. 28m to the WNW, respectively.
