Enclosure in Kilmaglin

The following description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Carlow' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1993). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 17 July 2007 Aerial photograph (CUCAP BDO 55) shows well developed cropmarks of bank with external fosse enclosing very large oval area (est max. diam. c. 70m E-W), slightly distorted by later field boundaries. Adjacent to large oval enclosure (CW013-080----). No visible surface traces.
