What is recorded here

Situated on E facing slope of rising ground in upland area. Circular area (diam 36m E-W) enclosed by a poorly preserved earth and stone bank (Wth 2m; int. H 0.3m; ext. H 0.5m) with slight evidence of a shallow external fosse (Wth 2m) and possible outer bank which is severely eroded. No entrance feature visible. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Offaly' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1997).
