In pasture, on gentle S-facing slope. Depicted as hachured irregular platform (max. L c. 50m NW-SE; max. Wth c. 38m NE-SW) on 1842 OS 6-inch map, with S boundary formed by NE-SW field fence; shown as hachured NW quadrant of circle on 1905 and 1936 OS 6-inch maps, with field boundary forming SE side. Levelled; low rise (c. 58m NW-SE and c. 31m NE-SW) visible in area of site. According to local information, fosse surrounded rise, but was infilled. In adjoining field to S of enclosure is linear feature (CO002-017001-) which is visible, just inside W field boundary, as low rise extending SW-NE for 41m, before forming right angle at NE end and continuing NW for further 28m, stopping short of N field boundary.
