Mortons has a ringfort, a shallow circle of earth and grass that has watched the pasture for centuries. It is small enough to walk around in minutes, yet it belongs to the same old company of forts that dotted the coast when people first shaped the land. The fairies may have taken it from the humans, but the humans gave it shape first.

In level pasture. Circular, grass-covered low rise (24.8m E-W; 24m N-S; H from base of fosse 0.5m) enclosed by shallow fosse. Ring barrow (CO002-016---) lies c. 200m to SW.
