Enclosure

What is recorded here

On a gradual W-facing slope, off the crest of a hill in gently undulating pastureland. The monument is depicted as a roughly oval enclosure on the 1st (1843) ed. OS 6-inch map (dims. c. 42m N-S; c. 24m E-W at S, tapering to c. 14m E-W at the N) but is not marked on the subsequent 1906 ed. The enclosure has been levelled with no visible trace above ground. There are a lot of subtle undulations in the field. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 07 January 2014
