What is recorded here
Geophysical survey (licence no. 050R137) identified a series of anomalies thought to represent a series of conjoined enclosures with several large pit-type anomalies (Nicholls and Shiel 2005). Test excavation (licence no. 07E0057) confirmed the presence of a cluster of pits and related linear and curvilinear features. Fill of features consisted of charcoal rich soil, some with burnt bone inclusions (Elliot 2007, 291).
