What is recorded here

In pasture, on the steep SE-facing slope of a drumlin. Indicated on the 1941-2 OS 6-inch map by an arc of hachures SE-S. An arc of earthen bank (L 10m; H 1m) is evident SE-S, possibly the SE quadrant of a circular enclosure. A possible barrow (SL038-095----) lies c. 80m to NW and a possible rath (SL038-097----) c. 100m to S. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005). Date of upload: 18 January 2008
