Enclosure in Derrynacaheragh

In pasture, at the foot of a steep SE-facing slope, overlooking the valley of the Feabunaun stream. A circular area (diam. 11.8m) defined by a partially collapsed, drystone wall (T 0.8m; H 1m) E-W. The enclosing element W-E is obscured by a mound of field-clearance debris. Linear field boundaries abut the enclosure at W and E. The SE portion of the interior is raised (H 0.4m) to compensate for the hillslope. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
