What is recorded here

Earthwork described in 1943 as following; 'This consists of a circular platform which has only a slight elevation over the field level. It is surrounded by a continuous fosse and the entrance is not recognisable. The height over the field is 2' [0.6m] and the overall diameter is 190' [58m]. It has been cut through during the making of a modern stone covered drain. The monument is in a low-land marsh' (O'Kelly 1942-3, 177). Cropmark of the monument is clearly visible today on Digital globe aerial photographs. Compiled by: Caimin O'Brien Date of upload: 25 February 2020
