Enclosure in Coornacaragh

In rough hill pasture, on a rocky SW-facing slope, overlooking Lough Inchiquin. An oval area (12.1m N-S; 10.7m E-W) defined by a wall (T 1.4m; H 0.55m) comprised of an inner and outer row of contiguous upright slabs with a rubble core NNE-SE. The entrance is at SE and is partly obscured. There is a scarp scattered with rubble SE-WNW while just a scatter of stones is evident WNW-NNE. The SW portion of the interior is raised and the NE portion is cut (D 0.4m) into the upslope to compensate for the hillslope. There is a relict field boundary (KE101-109007-) c. 25m to the SW.
