What is recorded here

Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a sub-triangular hachured feature (dims c. 85m N-S; c. 80m E-W) with the apex at N, and situated on a level landscape. Sub-triangular grass-covered area (dims 75m N-S; c. 70m E-W at S) with some bushes on the perimeter at E defined by scarps (H 0.45m at W to 0.9m at ENE), with traces of a bank (Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 1.5m) separated by a fosse (Wth of base 3m ext. D 0.4m) from an outer bank (Wth 4m; ext. H 0.8m) E-SE. There is no visible entrance, and farm buildings impinge on the perimeter at NW.
