What is recorded here

In rough pasture, on a S-facing slope overlooking the valley of the Sheen River. A D-shaped area (5.4m N-S) with the straight side at N (L 8.8m) formed by an ancient field boundary (KE093-095004-) while the other sides are of crudely built drystone walling (T c. 0.5m; H 0.6m) which has partly collapsed. Part of the wall at SE is built of contiguous upright slabs (H 0.8m). The S portion of the interior has been raised to compensate for the hillslope. There is a hut site (KE093-095002-) c. 30m to the W. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry.
