What is recorded here
In reclaimed pasture 210m SW of a watercourse. Not depicted on historic OSi maps. Identified from examination of aerial photograph (BGE 1:5000 No. 48) of the region taken on 03/11/1984 associated with Bórd Gáis Éireann Curraghleigh West-Limerick gas pipeline. Visible as a rectangular shaped cropmark (dims. c. 75m N-S x 65m E-W) on OSi orthophoto taken between 2005-12 and on Google Earth orthoimage dated 20/09/2020. Uncertain about antiquity of cropmark may be the remains of a post-1700 field depicted on the 1840 ed. OSi 6-inch map.
