On an elevated plateau of undulating karst pasture, within a large multiperiod field system (CL009-001001-), with views of Slieve Elva to the NNW and an ENE–WSW ridge c. 500m to the S. Marked as a slight stone or earth ring on Robinson’s map (1977). Listed as ‘Hut site’ in the RMP (1996).
A sub-rectangular enclosure (int. dims. 13.3m N–S; 10.4m E–W; ext. dims. 17.8m N–S; 14.3m E–W) defined by a grass-covered collapsed wall (int. H 0.2–0.4m; ext. H 0.1–0.4m; T 1.5–2.5m), with no visible entrance. Some field stones have been added to the perimeter at the W and a drystone field wall has been built over the E wall.
A hut site (CL009-001004-) and possible Man-made underground passage (CL009-001038-) lie c. 30m to the ESE, Cahermakerrila cashel (CL009-001005-) lies c. 176m to the ENE and a fulacht fia (CL009-233----) lies c. 124m SSW.
