Enclosure

What is recorded here

Two enclosures (LI040-020----) situated 20m apart described by O'Kelly (1944, 20) as following; 'These two monuments [LI040-020---] are situated in a low-land marshy area. They are built on a kind of platform which is probably natural, but may in part be artificial. The monuments are on the western edge of the platform and the eastern part of it is cut off from them by an ancient fence. The N. monument is a circular platform 3' [0.9m] high, around which there is a fosse. The overall diameter is 120' [36m] . The second monument is due south from the latter by a distance of 46' [14m]. It is identical with the first except that the diameter is smaller, being only 90' [27m] overall. The entrances are not recognisable'.
