Situated on aNE-facing slope of rising ground in undulating countryside with a nearby enclosure site (TN035-024) to the SE. The site was destroyed in the 1970s (Stout 1984, 52). Not visible at ground level. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary. Vol. 1 - North Tipperary' compiled by Jean Farrelly and Caimin O'Brien (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2002). A local fairy fort (ringfort/rath); wider significance not recorded.
