Ballygrace holds a circular enclosure forty metres wide, marked only by shadow in crop and memory in stone. Two parallel lines approach from the southeast like paths worn by feet that no longer walk them. Nearby ringforts watch the field from a distance, suggesting a settlement rather than a lonely house. The land remembers shape long after people forget names.
