Enclosure in Ballinderry (kilbarron Par.)

Situated on a low natural rise of ground in undulating countryside. Not indicated on the 1843 ed. OS 6-inch map. A small irregular-shaped area (diam. 25m E-W) of natural rock outcrop enclosed by a poorly preserved earthen bank from S through W to N. Natural rock outcrop protrudes from the surface of the interior. This may be a nineteenth-century feature. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
