Enclosure in Ballinderry (ardcrony Par.)

Situated on a low natural rise of ground in undulating countryside. A poorly preserved irregular-shaped enclosure defined by an earthen bank (Wth 1.2m; int. H 0.5m; ext. H 0.5m) visible at N only with a quarry and possible destroyed limekiln at W. Wall-footings of a nineteenth-century building as indicated on the 1st ed. OS 6-inch map are at SW. The enclosure appears to be associated with the house and may be a nineteenth-century feature. The above description is derived from 'The Archaeological Inventory of County Tipperary.
