What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Woodbrook, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a rise on a north-facing slope and preserves a circular overgrown platform about thirty-nine metres across. A remaining bank, fosse and outer earthen ridge mark the south-western edge, while a two-and-a-half-metre entrance cuts through the eastern bank.

On top of a rise on a N-facing slope. Circular overgrown platform (diam. c. 39m) with the remains of a bank (Wth 5.8m; int. H 0.4-0.6m; ext. H 1.6m) S-W, defined by a fosse (Wth of top 3.8-4.3m; int. D 0.8-1.1m; ext. D 0.45-0.85m) and an outer overgrown earthen bank (at N: Wth 3.4m; int. H 0.45m; ext. H 0.6m; at E: Wth 5.2m; int. H 0.75m; ext. H 1.3m).
