Fairy fort / earthen ringfort

What is recorded here

On a shelf on the E-facing slopes of a drumlin. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. c. 30m) defined by an overgrown earthen bank (Wth 4-5m; int. H 0.4-0.7m; ext. c. H 1m) NW-E-SSW, which has been removed elsewhere, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 3.5-4.5m; D 0.4m generally to 0.8m at S) NW-N and E-SSW. There is an outer bank (Wth 3.8m; ext. H 0.4m) SE-SSW, but there is no visible entrance. Rath (RO012-015----) is c. 200m to the S. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
