Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Scregg (athlone North By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the crest of a west-southwest-facing slope above a narrow north-northwest-south-southeast valley. The circular grass-covered area measures forty-eight metres east-west and forty-six metres north-south. An earthen bank, fosse and partial outer bank define the perimeter, while a two-point-four-metre entrance opens toward the south-southeast.
On the crest of a WSW-facing slope overlooking a narrow NNW-SSE valley. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 48m E-W; 46m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3.4-6m; int. H 0.7-0.75m; ext. H 1.25-1.65m), with a fosse (Wth of top 7-8.8m; Wth of base 2.3-4.2m; D 0.5-1m) and outer bank (at W: Wth 3.4m; ext. H 0.7m) SW-W-NE. The entrance (Wth 2.4m) is at SSE, and lazy-beds are preserved in the interior. Archaeological testing (05E0021) c. 100m to the E failed to produce any related material (Delaney 2008a).
