What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Scregg (athlone North By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a south-facing slope at the north end of a northwest-southeast valley. A scrub-covered earthen bank defines the circular grass-covered area, while an outer fosse lies partly filled with spoil to the west and north. Modern entrances appear at the east-northeast and south-southwest.

On a S-facing slope at the N end of a NW-SE valley. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 30m WNW-ESE; 28.7m NNE-SSW) defined by a scrub-covered earthen bank (at WNW: Wth 3.7m; int. H 0.75m; ext. H 1.2m), which is incorporated into a field bank E-S, and an outer fosse (Wth of base 1.4m; D 0.5m at WNW) WSW-N which is partly filled with spoil. There are modern entrances at ENE and SSW.
