Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Roxborough, County Roscommon, Ireland. It stands on a south-facing slope with a circular grass-covered platform, a surrounding fosse, and an outer overgrown bank. A causeway marks the south-west entrance, while two other raths sit within 200 metres to the south-west and east.
On a S-facing slope. Circular grass-covered platform (diam. 42m N-S; 40.8m E-W; H 0.65m at S to 1.85m at W) separated by a fosse (Wth of top 6.4-7.9m; Wth of base 1.1-2.9m; D 0.9-1.9m) from an outer overgrown bank (Wth 2.6-5.6m; H 0.1-0.4m). There is a causeway (Wth 3.2m) at SSW, and the bank has been removed S-SSW (max. ext. diam. 57.6m N-S; 62m E-W). Rath (RO039-020----) is c. 190m to the SW and rath (RO039-022----) is c. 170m to the E.
