Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Roxborough, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies an oval grass-covered area on a gentle south-facing slope, bounded by an earthen bank, hedge and partial rounded fosse. Three entrances cut through the boundary at the east, west-southwest and south, with the southern opening probably the original. A field bank circles the outer edge, and another possible rath lies about 110 metres to the south.
On a gentle S-facing slope. Oval grass-covered area (dims 75.8m N-S; 60m E-W) defined by an earthen bank and hedge (Wth 4.4-6.1m; int. H 0.15-0.6m; ext. H 0.4-1.2m), and traces of a rounded fosse (at N: Wth of top 6.1m; Wth of base 3.1m; D 0.25m at N) SW-N-E which is circumscribed by a field bank WSW-NNW. There are entrances at E (Wth 2m), WSW (Wth 2.4m) and S (Wth 2.8m), the last probably being the original. The possible rath (RO039-023----) is c. 110m to the S.
