What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Lissadorn, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a gentle north-facing slope above a northeast-southwest stream, forming a circular grass-covered area thirty-two and a half metres wide. A gapped earthen bank and scarp define most of the perimeter, while a shallow outer fosse marks the eastern, southern and western edges. No entrance remains visible.

On a gentle N-facing slope overlooking a NE-SW stream. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 32.5m E-W; 31m N-S) defined by an gapped earthen bank (Wth 3.7-4.3m; int. H 0.35-0.6m; ext. H 0.6-1.1m) NE-S-WNW and by a scarp (H 1.05m) elsewhere, with an outer fosse (Wth of top 3-3.6m; Wth of base 2-2.5m; D 0.1-0.4m) E-S-WNW. There is no visible entrance.
