What is recorded here

On a SE-facing slope. D-shaped scrub-covered area (dims 33.5m E-W; 31m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 3m; int. H 0.4m; ext. H 0.6m) on the straight N side which is reduced to a scarp (H 0.5m at W to1.1m at S) elsewhere, separated by a fosse (Wth of base 4.7-5.2m) from an outer overgrown bank (Wth 4.8-5.35m; int. H 0.7m at SW to 1.25m at N; ext. H 0.7m at W to 1.2m at SW) SSW-N-E. The fosse is represented by a berm (Wth 3m) defined by a scarp (H 0.8-1m) E-SSW, and there is a second outer fosse (Wth of base 3.8m; D 0.55m) outside the straight outer bank at N. The entrance is at NE. Rath (RO016-083----) is c. 60m to the E, and rath (RO016-104----) is c.100m to the SSW. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
