What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Lackan (athlone North By., Lackan Ed), County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a low knoll on a SW-facing slope and presents a circular grass-covered area measuring 36.7m N-S and 35.9m E-W. A grass-covered earth and stone bank, 2-3.2m wide and 0.9-1.2m high externally, defines the perimeter, while slight traces of a flat-bottomed fosse appear N-NNE. A N-S field wall is built on the SW-NW perimeter, and entrances at SSW and NNW are probably modern.
