What is recorded here
Towards the top of a SE-facing slope of a hill. D-shaped grass-covered area (dims 41m NE-SW; 39.7m NW-SE) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 5.5m; int. H 0.2-0.65m; ext. H 1.15-1.3m) S-NW, with a fosse (Wth of top 5.3m; Wth of base 2m; D 0.7m) W-NW. There is no identifiable original entrance, but traces of the perimeter (Wth 2.7m; ext. H 1.15m) survive at SE, beyond the field bank. There is a record of a house site (RO041-055004-) (dims 11m E-W; 4m N-S) in the interior (Gannon 1972), which is no longer visible. The monument was cut by the bank of rath (RO041-055001-) N-E, and a NE-SW field bank has destroyed the perimeter E-S. Rath (RO041-055003-) is immediately to the S, and rath (RO041-054----) is c. 80m to the WSW.
